Deployment Alerts
Monitor your deployments and get notified of issues before they cause downtime.
Overview
Kova tracks the health of your deployments and can alert you when something needs attention. Alerts appear in the dashboard and can optionally be sent via email.
Alert Types
| Alert | Severity | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Low balance | Warning | Escrow balance below 1 hour of estimated runtime |
| Critical balance | Critical | Escrow balance below 10 minutes of estimated runtime |
| Deployment paused | Critical | Deployment stopped due to depleted escrow |
| Provider offline | Critical | The provider running your deployment went offline |
| High CPU usage | Warning | CPU utilization above 90% for more than 5 minutes |
| High memory usage | Warning | Memory utilization above 90% for more than 5 minutes |
Dashboard Alerts
Alerts are visible in two places:
- Deployment list -- a badge icon appears next to deployments with active alerts
- Deployment detail → Alerts tab -- shows full alert history with timestamps and resolution status
Active alerts are highlighted at the top. Resolved alerts are kept for 30 days.
Configuring Alerts
Open Notification Settings
Navigate to Settings → Notifications in the dashboard.
Choose Alert Types
Toggle which alert types you want to receive. All alerts are enabled by default.
Enable Email Notifications
Toggle Email Notifications and verify your email address is correct in account settings.
Save
Click Save to apply your notification preferences.
Email Notifications
Email alerts include:
- Deployment name and ID
- Alert type and severity
- Current resource values or balance
- Direct link to the affected deployment
Production Deployments
Enable email alerts for all production deployments. Dashboard alerts are only visible when you're actively using the console -- email ensures you're notified even when away.
To configure your email address, go to Settings → Account → Email Notifications.
Alert Resolution
Alerts resolve automatically when the underlying condition clears:
- Low balance alerts resolve when funds are added
- Resource usage alerts resolve when utilization drops below the threshold
- Provider offline alerts resolve when the provider reconnects
Deployment paused alerts resolve when you add funds and the deployment resumes.
Webhook Integration
Webhook delivery for alerts is planned for a future release. This will allow you to:
- Send alerts to Slack, Discord, or PagerDuty
- Trigger automated remediation scripts
- Integrate with your existing monitoring stack
Watch the changelog for updates on webhook support.
